Public Parks & Recreation in Spring

Spring maintains several parks and a huge nature preserve, the Stahl Preserve, located north of Cypresswood Dr. The Stahl Preserve consists of 146 acres of natural Texas habitat, full of magnolia trees, cypress trees, many shrubs, and other wild flowers. There is a 5.5 mile paved jogging and biking trail within the preserver where residents can exercise throughout this wonderful natural setting. If you are looking to get out on the water in one of the several ponds or lakes, the parks commission only permits canoes and kayaks for water recreation. Located next to The Stahl Preserve is Pundt Park which has over 380 acres dedicated to dog parks, several pavilions, fishing lakes, and hiking/jogging trails. These two parks, 526 acres dedicated, make Spring, TX a great home for southern nature lovers.
